About me
Enthusiastic, self-motivated & hard working psychiatrist all known as Dr. Md. Rashidul Haque and always been passionate about research works. I am born Bangladeshi and obey the laws and constitutions of the Republic of Bangladesh. I completed my MBBS from Dhaka Medical College and FCPS in Psychiatry from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS).
After 1 year of internship from Dhaka Medical College Hospital, I have had vast experience in clinical field at private sector. I entered the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) as Assistant Surgeon and got opportunity to work in the rural area.
I got training as Assistant Registrar in Psychiatry under renowned Professor of Psychiatry from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) from 2009 to 2012.
I completed my first research paper on Psychiatric morbidity among burned patients in the Burn & Plastic surgery unit of DMCH. I worked as Registrar in the Psychiatry Department of DMCH from 2013 to 2019 and served many mentally ill patients and taught many students and trainee doctors.
Now I have been working as an Assistant Professor in the Psychiatry Department of Sir Salimullah Medical College.
I am a Life Member of the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), a Life Member of the Bangladesh Association of Psychiatrists (BAP), an International Member of the European Psychiatric Association (EPA), an International member, of the American Psychiatric Association (APA).
I have one son Rashid Abrar who is in class VIII and my wife Dr. Farjana Maksurat is a Gynaecologist working as a Consultant in the Health and Family Planning Ministry of the Republic of Bangladesh.
Above all, I like to work in mass media to aware general people about mental health and am involved in many non-profitable organizations and social works.
